This Programme is Literally Transforming Lives.
For three months Danny couldn’t walk further than 1km without resting. His pulse rate was 70 lying down and rose to 110 on standing, which made him severely dizzy.
“After reading some reviews about the programme I was hopeful for a rapid improvement in my son Danny’s health, but I didn’t quite dare believe it! In fact his improvement was so significant it made me wonder if we had imagined his illness. Danny has now gone back to school and he’s playing tennis again. He isn’t 100% but he is close.
“New Pathways is literally transforming people’s lives. Not only Danny’s life, but mine. I am now sleeping again, the whole family is so much happier.”
Marianne, mother of Danny

My Life Has Changed Immeasurably
25-year-old Charlotte had suffered with chronic fatigue syndrome since she was 13. Bed bound and unable to put on her socks or brush her teeth most days, she didn’t believe anything could help her.
“I was referred to lots of different specialists for my chronic fatigue, including the school counsellor, a cognitive therapist and even a rehabilitation clinic for people with disabilities. That was a real low point, I thought ‘I can’t do anything with my life, there’s no way out’.
“My parents found Steve’s chronic fatigue recovery stories online and thought I should give the course a go. I felt revitalised after the first day. I couldn’t believe it.
“I discovered what my stress triggers are and now I have the techniques to cope with anything life throws at me.
“I’ve gone from not being able to hold down a job and feeling like I had no prospects, to joining a gym, meeting a partner, moving into our own house together and getting a new job. I’ve even started to make friends, something I always struggled with.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without Steve. My doctors told me that I just had to live with CFS, but I didn’t have to.”

From Relapse to Renewal: Getting My Spark Back
As someone who loved walking and staying active, it was devastating when I didn’t recover after a bout of flu in January 2015. I was eventually diagnosed with post-viral myalgia. I could barely manage from bed to chair via the shower, stairs were painful, and brain fog was constant. For 18 months, I experienced a cycle of slight improvement followed by relapse—emotionally draining and disheartening.
When my husband found Steve’s website, I initially dismissed it (big mistake!). Six months later, I finally reached out—and everything changed.
I did the course via Skype, and even halfway through, friends were saying, “She’s got her spark back.” I now understand how powerful words are—how they shape how we feel and what we believe is possible. “Onwards and upwards” lifts me; “don’t do too much” drags me down.
Now, I feel free—no longer ruled by fear of relapse. I know how to support myself using the techniques whenever I need them.
It feels amazing to just go for it again.

From Wheelchair to Running 5K: How I Reclaimed My Life
When I first saw Steve, I had been living with chronic fatigue syndrome on and off for 16 years. I was housebound, could barely walk around my home, and relied on my husband for care. I couldn’t work, cook, or manage more than a few minutes of walking. Pain, anxiety, and exhaustion defined my life, and I used a wheelchair for anything beyond the house.
After doing the course, I was soon walking 20–30 minutes and gradually reintegrating into everyday life. Within a month, I was travelling on the Tube, cooking meals, and doing household tasks. That was over six years ago—and my life hasn’t stopped evolving since.
I returned to full-time work, travelled on long-haul flights, started exercising regularly, and had two children just 15 months apart. Today, I work four days a week, run 5K three times weekly, do yoga, and enjoy an active social life.
Steve has supported me through it all—with practical advice, compassion, and gentle challenges when needed. His guidance has been a key part of my recovery, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He gave me my life back.

Long COVID Is No Longer Dictating What I Do
When Aaron caught COVID-19 in March 2022, he had to hit the brakes on his passion for cycling and just being a normal, sociable teenager as Long Covid took over his life.
“After catching Covid I expected I would be back to normal in no time. But I wasn’t. I was breathless, fatigued and my heart rate was off. Cycling and seeing my friends made me so tired.
“After a year of living with Long Covid, I took part in the New Pathways course over Zoom. After the first few sessions, I got a better picture of how it was going to help me. It was a relief as I felt like I didn’t have to stress about Long Covid anymore. A week or so later, I started going out on my bike again.
“I think it would be weird if you weren’t sceptical about the programme as it’s such a different concept for treating Long Covid but you should give it a go.
“I’m now back to cycling five times a week and fitting in the gym where I can. I’d say my health is a 9/10. I’m at college doing my A-levels and I go out when I want. Long Covid is no longer dictating what I do.”

From Burnout to Balance: Finding Calm After Years of Stress
For years, I juggled the pressures of being a single parent, caring for my mum with Alzheimer’s, emotionally demanding jobs, and family stress. My health gradually declined. In 2019, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, having already been diagnosed with narcolepsy and an overactive thyroid. By October, I couldn’t work. I was in pain, exhausted, struggling to walk, cook, or hold a conversation. My mind felt foggy and overwhelmed—I wasn’t myself.
After trying various support programmes and setting up my own routines, I still felt lost without someone to guide me through it all. Then my son’s girlfriend, who had recovered from chronic fatigue, recommended the course.
I completed the training by Skype in February 2020, and it exceeded my expectations. I learned how years of stress, people-pleasing, and neglecting myself had impacted my health—and, more importantly, what to do about it. I now use simple tools to calm my mind and body, set boundaries, and bring balance to each day.
It’s May 2020—lockdown—and I’m calm, centred, and coping well. This course has changed my life. I feel stronger, more in control, and hopeful about the future. I can’t recommend it enough.

"It was almost like a magic trick"
23-year-old Tyler Woodstock was enjoying life as a student in Birmingham until he contracted glandular fever.
“I thought it was just flu and that I would shake it off in a few days. But months later, I still wasn’t feeling any better. I took a year off my uni course to get myself well. New Pathways pulled back the curtain on the connection between the body and mind. It took a few sessions before I saw any difference but then it became very noticeable that I was better. I used to be on a three-week cycle of feeling better and then crashing, but then I felt better and… no crash.
“I’m now back at uni full time and I’m planning to travel next summer to South America!”

From Exhausted to Empowered – Lorna’s Story
Just a few months ago, I’d have been in bed, exhausted and tearful after even a small family visit. But this summer? I hosted waves of grandchildren, children, and relatives—often one group after another—and I felt great. I did the cooking, stayed present, and most importantly, I stayed well.
The greatest joy has been realising: I’m back. I used to fear these busy times, but now I say, “Bring it on, folks!”
The brain training tools have been key. I meditated whenever I could and protected my energy using everything I learned. I’ve become skilled at observing my own mind and calming things before they spiral. My sensitivity is still there—but now I use it as a strength, not a burden. I no longer carry other people’s emotions as my own.
I can’t thank you enough. This programme didn’t just support my recovery—it showed me the strength I already had. It changed my life.

"I'm excited about life again"
In October 2017, I came down with what felt like the flu and never fully recovered. I was exhausted, foggy, and unable to function properly for months. Once fit and active, I found myself stuck in “limp home mode”—barely able to work, socialise, or enjoy time with my family.
By early 2018, things felt bleak. I’d missed months of swimming, cancelled a long-anticipated work trip, and started believing this might be my new normal. Nothing seemed to help, despite supportive doctors and endless supplements.
Then I discovered a structured mind-body programme and began learning practical techniques over Skype. These tools helped me understand how stress was affecting my health—and how to interrupt that pattern. Within weeks, I noticed real changes: better sleep, more energy, and moments of hope. The work wasn’t easy, but it was transformative.
Now, I’m back to walking the dog, riding my bike, playing football with my kids, and even travelling internationally for work again. I use simple daily practices like breathing techniques and mindful awareness to stay grounded and present.
I’m not just functioning—I’m thriving. And for the first time in a long while, I feel excited about life again.
